St. Mark’s Nursery & Primary School is a Christian Minority Institution, started in 1986. It is located in an old well built bungalow in Gandhi Nagar, Adyar, with a well equipped and maintained tree shaded play area.
The School was accorded recognition/approval by the Government of Tamil Nadu (Regn. No: 3382) in the year 2002, which has been renewed every three years. Current approval comes up or renewal in July 2011.
The School is managed under the overall supervision of the Principal Mrs. Margaret Muthu. B. A. Eng(Hons), Montessori (I.M.I.), B. Ed. (MS University, Baroda). She has had over 40 years experience working and teaching in Christian Minority Educational Institutions in Nepal, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Baroda, and Chennai.
The Correspondent is Mr. V. C. Muthu, retired Regional Manager, South, of Macneill Engineering Ltd. (Formerly part of Macneill & Magor Ltd, of the Inchcape Group, U. K.). Associated with the School since retirement from service in 2001. In charge of Administration of the School, and person legally responsible for the affairs of the School. |
